Mount Pleasant & Rosedale
For those who want an established mature neighbourhood with close proximities to apartments, Schools, the Recreation Centre or St. Mary’s hospital should check out the Mount Pleasant and Rosedale neighbourhoods. Close access to main roads, Mirror Lake and Jubilee Park are other areas to look forward to when moving to these locations.
Downtown & College
The Downtown area is located in the heart of Camrose and is home to Camrose Main Street which has many unique shops and restaurants. Close by Downtown and the College neighbourhood is the Historical District. Many Augustana University students call this area home do to its close proximity to the campus. Victoria Park & Creekside
Victoria Park and Creekside are located on the north side of Camrose. Victoria Park has a number of beautiful homes in the area that back onto the Camrose Golf Course. Valleyview & Valleyview West

This facility has three arenas, the largest including the Encana arena which can seat over 2500 fans and spectators with its exceptional bowl seating arrangement. Multiple facilities are connected to one another and include a three lane fitness track, fitness centre, food and beverage facilities, meeting rooms, offices, Aquatic Centre and multiple sheet curling rink which is known as the Rose City Curling Club.
Walking distance from the Recreation Centre is the Camrose Community Centre that has an indoor walking track, indoor soccer field and other amenities. If you are an outdoor enthusiast you will enjoy the spray park, skate park, tennis courts, ball diamonds, soccer fields, football field and beach volleyball courts.
For those who love to walk, run or bike, Camrose is known for its lengthly urban trail system. The trails wind through many parts of this beautiful city including the Stoney Creek Valley and around Camrose’s spectacular Mirror Lake.
Tons of sports clubs call this area home as well. Camrose Minor Ball, Camrose Minor Hockey or for the winter enthusiast the Camrose Ski Club is one of the oldest ski clubs in all of Canada and was founded in 1911.
Culture & Events
While Camrose may be a relatively small area that makes up Alberta, there is still plenty of culture to be found here. The Camrose and Area Arts and Culture is always hosting new events. For example, painting workshops, and other learning opportunities. There are also plays and other shows taking place that are shared in hopes of getting the locals out to enjoy these events! The Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre is a beautiful venue located on the historic Augustana Campus. Built through the combined efforts of the University of Alberta and the City of Camrose, this space offers a place to celebrate culture achievements and provide the community access to an abundance of performing arts. Education
In Camrose there are three authorities that provide secondary education. There is the Battle River School Division, Conseil Scolari Centre-Nord, and Elk Island Catholic Schools. The BRSD operates multiple schools in Camrose and other areas. While there is the St. Patrick Catholic School operated by EICS and Our Lady of Mount Pleasant Catholic School.
There is one major post-secondary institution in Camrose, which is the Augustana Faculty of the University of Alberta that was formerly known as Augustana University College. This college is home to over 1000 students! The Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute also calls Camrose home.
